If you love yourself

I’ve never done a taste test before, so I thought it would be fun to do one today. Since dining service is closed on campus, I had to be adventurous and go buy food. It was the perfect occation to try out the vegan options at the grocery shops nearby.

This is what I tested out today:

Not very fancy, indeed. Have in mind that I’m a college student trying to save money for dare life HELLO. Let me live.

I also feel the need to add that the closest thing I have to heat my food is a microwave. So don’t expect me to serve you some fancy pancy deliciousness. There’s only so much one can do, alright.

BAM. There it is. Don’t judge me.

For starters we have 2 minute made vegetable springrolls. Nutrition facts:

Not too bad, but not exactly great either, nutrition-wise.

If you’re wondering how they tasted, let me tell you; if you love yourself, don’t try them! Ladies and gentlemen, they taste worse than they look, and that says a whole lot. Take a look inside.

First time ever that I’ve tasted vegan food that’s terrible.

Furthermore, our main course today is “All american veggie burger” and it was a gift from god to my mouth after the traumatic experience that the springrolls left me. It was juicy, good in flavour and the consistency was great. It was even better than the vegan burgers I’ve tried at home, and they’re good!

Nutrition facts:

13g of protein per burger, I’m impressed! Grow muscles, groow!

That’s it for today.

Bye. ❤

  1. Since you mentioned veggie burgers, I’ll plug Next Level Burger, which are all plant based. They’re in Bend and Portland, Oregon, for now, but I”m hoping they’ll spread further. I’m not a vegetarian, but my wife is, and I try to support her. That said, I think NLB makes a sensational veggie burger. Wish I had one right now. A link: http://www.nextlevelburger.com/ Cheers

  2. Don’t forget to makeup a scrumptious green salad with some cucumbers, and tomatoes, maybe some carrots, or cashews, or cranberries…..oh and some pumpkin seeds…. I usually just put some balsamic vinegar and lemon juice together and pour that over my salad. Quick and easy and fast, not expensive…. but sooo flippin’ good for you. 🙂
